Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez is a popular Mexican-American actor, singer and music producer. Her mother raised her in the USA in a place where she endured several racial stereotypes, which made her feel like someone who was not wanted. In her 9th grade that she gained confidence following her acclaim at an audition. Not only did she gain confidence through the audition and gained experience, but also changed her plans for her career. The 22-year-old earned a degree from Julliard School in New York. In 1993 she had her Broadway debut with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Her first film was You've Got Mail. The most notable success of her career came with her portrayal of The Lady Of The Lake in Spamalot's first Broadway production. Not only did she win the Tony Award, but her performance was also praised by reviewers. Following that, in 2007, she was cast in the ABC series Grey's Anatomy and became more well-known. The actress is also a renowned singer and has published an extended version of her play. As an activist, she works tirelessly in the cause of LGBT equality.
